it's always complicated
Louisa Jane Demsie was born as the last girl to Robert and Amelia Demsie, on the day of love -- Valentine's Day. She was two weeks fashionably late, of course, which set the tone for her whole life. In her adult years, Louisa would be known for being late to everything, a downfall of her personality. Being the baby of the family to two elder sisters and two elder brothers, it was easy to get her way. Much attention was spent on Louisa from the moment she was born and started to grow, especially since she demanded it. Although she loved her siblings very dearly, she knew that she had the upper hand with her parents. Louisa was very head strong, stubborn, opinionated, and spunky, even at such an early age.
At the age of six, she knew exactly what she wanted to do: perform. After her dad came home on business from America and brought home old Hollywood movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany's and Singing in the Rain, Louisa was hooked. She wanted to act and sing and perform. She found joy in watching any movie she could. So after begging, her parents put her into theatre school for all of her primary years, until she was able to land her first role on a British TV series called The Demon Headmaster. The TV series lasted for three years. There she would learn to hone her skills and take lessons from those around her on how to be a great actress. She would do homeschool during the times she wasn't working and then attend her theatre classes where she learned more about the practice of acting and even the art of different accents. And when the series ended, she went right back to school, but also was able to score a role on a straight to TV movies, The Greatest Store in the World.
Not even two years later, Louisa had auditioned for and scored the role of Jules Paxton in Bend it like Beckham, which unexpectedly became a popular movie around the UK and in America. Because of her performance in the movie, it had caught the eyes of managers and agents in America who were very eager to work with the young up and comer. But still, she was tied to her British roots and afraid to leave her home. Although Louisa was very much passionate about becoming an actress, she was still a bit apprehensive if she would be able to make it over in the States. So, by playing it safe again, she landed her next role in Love Actually as Juliet. This time, working with more American actors and claiming the attention of other Americans in the business. Louisa, however, still had a very big fear of leaving her home.
Louisa kept working, though, and honing her skill. She would go on audition after audition, landing roles in some of the greatest British movies such as Pride and Prejudice and Atonement. They were some of her proudest work. The older she became, the more comfortable she was with wanting to crossover to America. While in the works of discussing so, the Demsie family suffered a major, heart-wrenching blow. Amelia, Louisa's mother, passed away in a freak car accident in 2008. Lou's life was completely turned upside down. Everything came to a halt, especially her work. Louisa had no idea how she would be able to deal with the loss of her mother. Her number one supporter and best friend.
After a year of mourning and not working, Louisa decided to take the main role for a smaller film called The Greatest, a story of one losing the love of their life in a car accident. She thought that taking this role would help her cope and come to terms with why things happens with her mother. The film changed her life. Not only was she able to reflect upon what happened in her life, she found a connection with her character that she'd never felt before with any roles she'd ever played. Along with meeting amazing actors and crew, this was the project that changed her outlook on her career. Louisa knew that from then on, she would only take roles that spoke to her and that she felt passionate about.
In making this decision, Louisa was able to score some crossover roles that introduced her to American film. Although she stuck with her British roots in Like Crazy, she opted for an American role in Drive. Seeking a Friend for the End of the World was different for her, but a way that she was able to explore her range. All of the dialects and accents she learned while in Theatre school helped with every opportunity she got.
In 2012, she'd caught wind of a new project called Begin Again. Everything about the script and the fact that music was incorporated made her want to be in it, but the filming would be in New York City. Although she was used to being away from home, New York City was a completely different ball game. Louisa, however, landing the role, decided that renting a flat there would be neccessary. Without any anticipation, though, she fell in love with the city. Filming and living there had been one of the best parts of her life and career, thus far, that she decided to make it a permanent second residence. This was the first time she'd ever lived off of UK soil and it felt amazing. In 2013, the movie was released and it was one she was majorly proud of.
In 2014, a film about the life of Stephen Hawking was released and Louisa played his wife, Jane. The film was brilliant, and the popularity was beyond what she would have imagined. Of course, Louisa still had her heart set on doing projects that she was passionate about, even if the roles were smaller, despite The Theory of Everything. So one of her latest films, Testament of Youth, due in 2015, was a more unknown project and role, but she was extremely passionate about the time period and message it gave. She has all intentions of being the type of actress that is known for taking roles that mean something. The most current film for Louisa is called A Monster Calls, about a little boy who is dealing with his mother dying. She chose the role, as it was one she could relate to and it spoke to her, in some sense. As time keeps moving, Louisa finds that she is less concerned about needing work but more concerned about what will feed her soul.

• As an ESFP, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you take things in via your five senses in a literal, concrete fashion. Your secondary mode is internal, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit with your personal value system. ESFPs live in the world of people possibilities. They love people and new experiences. They are lively and fun, and enjoy being the center of attention. They live in the here-and-now, and relish excitement and drama in their lives. If the ESFP has not developed their Thinking side by giving consideration to rational thought processing, they tend to become over-indulgent, and place more importance on immediate sensation and gratification than on their duties and obligations. They may also avoid looking at long-term consequences of their actions. They love to be the center of attention and perform for people.
